Joe Martinez doesn't have a hometown. Ask him where he's from and your likely to get a variety of answers: North Carolina, Washington, D.C., Australia, Japan. Take your pick. As the son of two Navy parents, traveling the world and experiencing different cultures turned his childhood into somewhat of an adventure.

These experiences have shaped him both personally and professionally, and this can be seen throughout his work. Specializing in portraiture, he connects with subjects from all walks of life on a genuine and personal level. His shoots are a collaborative and free flowing effort, designed to put clients and subjects at ease.

As a result of his unique childhood, the "travel bug" is a permanent part of his life, and when not shooting, you can find him preparing for his next big adventure.
